Prusiksnor 4 mm - 5 m
Strong, thin, static nylon rope with a diameter of 4 mm. In connection with abseiling or rapelling, the prusik cord is used to secure the person to the climbing rope itself. With a special securing knot (prusik knot), the climber attaches to the climbing rope, and in the event that the climber loses grip of the rope, the prusik cord catches him. As a rule of thumb, choose a prusik cord with a diameter that is half the size of the climbing rope. 4mm will in most cases be too thin to use for prusik but the cord is super fine for organizing your other stuff with. It could be wedges, friends, hexes, slings or something else.
